The 2018 season kicked off in Lanzarote for event one, the Calero Marinas Cup. After a short winter break, it didn't take long for ultra-competitive RC44 teams to shake off the cobwebs and beck back into serious racing. 

After four days of perfect winter racing conditions, it was Monaco based team Charisma who took the event win, their first in four years thanks to the cool handling of their owner-helm Nico Poons and America's Cup sailing legend Ray Davies calling tactics.
