Team Aqua talk carbon-offset, giving up single-use bottles and working with 2041

29/09/2018

Since the launch of the class in 2007 Team Aqua has been carbon neutral. Working with the World Land Trust to off-set the carbon footprint they create when traveling around Europe with the Tour.

In 2010 Team Aqua proudly joined forces with 2041, a charity headed up by Arctic Explorer Robert Swan, whose mission is to raise awareness of the threat to the Arctic and the Antarctic as a result of global warming.

And since 2012, they have been using a water filtration system, developed in-house, along with reusable water bottles. In this time, they estimate saving 18,000 single-use bottles.

Owner Chris Bake and tactician Cameron Appleton explain why the project is important to the team.
